[ v 1 . 0 4 ]

  • Fixed a major bug with new text being cleared when assigning a node to a context, without having saved the node.
  • Various other miscellaneous small bugs fixed. As ever :-)
  • There are other serious issues that I'm aware of, but I haven't managed to fix them yet. Therefore I'm putting this out as an interim version
Also Available:

UKOnly Version. One Mac user got in touch to say that, for some reason, the main .sis file installed in Italian without offering him a choice.

Standard NMXs v1.60 in a seperate zip file.

[ v 1 . 0 3 ]

  • Fixed Buffer text bug AGAIN! :-( Hopefully it's really, really fixed this time.
  • Fixed bug with invoking an NMX in an empty context.
  • Jump to letter - now starts at the beginning when it reaches the end - ie it goes upwards!
  • Bookmark labels follow the names of the nodes they point to.
  • Includes PDELib, an inline text file editor, as an optional extra.
  • New release of StandardNMXs, version 1.60, various bug fixes (with "no children" situation)
  • Also includes Patrick Useldinger's Search NMX.

[ v 1 . 0 2 ]

  • Fixed Buffer text bug - buffer should now *always* be clear.
  • Fixed sort mode weirdness - all sort modes should now work correctly under all conditions
  • CursorRight: and View/Edit now spot when there are no children.
  • CursorLeft: spots an odd condition where you end up on the trash node by mistake.
  • DisplayMenu: no longer chokes when there are no children.
  • Inconsistencies with "jumping to a letter" fixed.
  • Further attempts at Revo-friendliness, including the Toggling Toolbar bug. :-)
  • Problems with search nodes now addressed, but only by shortening the length available for the search string, it's a balance between this and the length of the file/path name. So... full path name can be up to 50 chars long, search strings, 9 chars.
  • Rewrote Buffer routines to use Buffer.opx - a little faster.
  • Changed behaviour of "show icons" preference - I don't think there is any circumstance under which showing no icons is a good idea, so this now decides whether or not the icons change with time.
  • Sort mode is now inherited.

[ v 1 . 0 1 ]

  • Improved Revo support (hopefully! - I haven't anything to test it on so I'm a bit in the dark still)
  • Pressing an alphanumeric key on the main screen leaps to the next node whose label starts with that letter.
  • Node position history - you no longer go back to the top of a list of nodes when "reversing" through the hierarchy.
  • Miscellaneous other bugfixes.
  • Overhauled StandardNMXs to work with the Revo (again hopefully) and a little more efficiently in general...
  • Included extra functionality for future NMX development. I'm writing a text editor called PDE, which NodeMap will be able to hook into.
  • Allowed for NMXs to create a persistent window which, when it gets a pen event, calls back the NMX - you can effectively "have it loaded all the time" while continuing to work in the main screen. This will be used for the NOD NMX.
  • First international version - NodeMap in Italian! Thanks to Costantino Muzio for that one...

[ v 1 . 0 0 ]

  • First official release.

The zip file is approximately 120Kb in size. An installation can take up anywhere between 151Kb and 223Kb, depending on how much of it you install, and requires approximately 250Kb of free memory in which to run, plus space for data files.

At present NodeMap is only available in UK English and Italian. I hope that this will not prove too problematic, contact me if you wish to be involved in translation to another language.

Please do forward any bug reports or comments (good bad or indifferent) to nodemap@mirrorkill.f9.co.uk.

Enjoy!

NodeMap is shareware, there are some nominal restrictions in place but it's basically fully working in its unregistered form. Unfortunately registration is no longer available, and development has ceased.
